Project Overview

The RSH Team provided a comprehensive asbestos and lead paint re-inspection and management plan for a 2.5M square foot facility at both the John Cochran and Jefferson Barracks VA Medical Centers in St. Louis, MO.  Riverfront was responsible for implementing all technical and logistical requirements of this project; including any applicable Asbestos O& M Plans.

The asbestos/lead field inspection effort spanned approximately 12 months and included a five-man team collecting over 3,500 asbestos bulk samples and over 24,000 lead paint samples from a total of 43 buildings at two campuses, all of which were occupied at the time of the inspection and subject to state of the art ICRA control requirements.

Riverfront coordinated all field inspection efforts with key facility technical representatives on a daily basis in order to minimize impact to patient care and maximize teamwork and communication with the Owner.

Following completion of field inspection efforts, Riverfront provided the Owner with inspection summary binders that included complete sets of building specific color-coded CAD drawings, report narrative, management plan instructions, remediation cost estimates and laboratory reports. Riverfront also provided the Owner with 2 years-worth of post-inspection consulting support to address any questions or concerns presented by the Owner regarding the report’s contents.
